Как только зверек замрет на месте, тогда нужно незамедлительно стрелять. Урон они нанести вам не смогут, но зато очень быстро бегают.
The Opossum is a species of animal found in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Description
The Opossum is a moderate sized mammal. Their coats are a dull grayish brown, other than on their faces, which are white. Opossums have long, hairless, prehensile tails, which can be used to grab branches and carry small objects. They also have hairless ears and a long, flat nose. Opossums have 50 teeth, more than any other North American land mammal, and opposable, clawless thumbs on their rear limbs.
The Virginia opossum is noted for reacting to threats by feigning death. This is the genesis of the term «playing possum», which means pretending to be dead or injured with intent to deceive. In the case of the opossum, the reaction seems to be involuntary, and to be triggered by extreme fear. It should not be taken as an indication of docility. It lies on its side, mouth and eyes open, tongue hanging out, emitting a green fluid from its anus whose putrid odor repels predators.
Opossums are omnivorous and eat a wide range of plants and animals such as fruits, grains, insects, snails, earthworms, carrion, snakes, birds, mice, and other small animals.

The opossum can be found mainly in the south-central regions of the map.

Tips
- The Varmint Rifle is the most effective weapon for hunting these mammals.
- Opossums are nocturnal; the player is more likely to find one in the night and early morning.
- Opossum meat is stringy but edible, and their skin can be used for crafting.
- At the trapper, 4 perfect opossum pelts are needed to craft the Pronghorn Flop Hat.
- Opossums are extremely easy to hunt, as when they play dead they will not attempt to flee the player unless they try to pick it up.
- It should also be noted that when using auto-aim, the player will sometimes not be able to automatically aim at it while it is playing dead, as Arthur/John doesn’t realize it’s still alive.

Где найти виргинского опоссума
Одна из известных локаций — к западу от могучей горы Шан, на севере озера Ованжила. Ещё они водятся между эстуариями реки Дакота и верхним течением реки Монтана. Если там вам не улыбнулась удача, и вы продолжаете задаваться вопросом, где найти виргинского опоссума, попробуйте заглянуть в Лемойн, что к северу от Родоса. К северу от Сен-Дени стоит поискать в болотах к западу от Лаграса.
При охоте стоит учесть, что эти грызуны ведут строго ночной образ жизни, и в светлое время суток вы их не найдете. Но сразу после наступления сумерек они выползают из своих нор и пускаются на поиски пропитания, не подозревая, что где-то поблизости их уже поджидает коварный стрелок с винтовкой в руках.
Из-за малых размеров цели попасть в голову непросто, но можно. Время от времени зверьки замирают, и в этот момент нужно стрелять, желательно с применением Dead Eye. Когда время замедлится, поразить добычу одним-единственным метким выстрелом не составит труда. В остальном охота не представляет никаких трудностей, эти животные не способны нанести урон, хотя бегают они быстро. Но в Red Dead Redemption 2 хватает куда более опасных зверей, по сравнению с которыми охоту на мелких грызунов можно назвать лёгким развлечением.
