отрой параметры этой игры в библиотеке, посмотри какой язык выбран, потом проверь её кэш.
если не поможет удаляй left 4 deadleft4deadpak01_dir.vpk и проверь снова кэш, он его загрузит вновь.
Судя по названию темы можно подумать что ты установить игру не можешь или всё таки не можешь запустить?

Возможно у тебя комп не соответсвует системным требованиям игры, которую ты устанавливаешь. Убедись, что требования игры и характеристика совпадают. И тогда попробуй заново. Системные требования указаны на обороте коробки. Они указаны всегда. Попробуй вынуть диск из дисковода, перезагрузить комп и снова начать установку.
Есть еще вариант: не достаточно места на компе, поэтому не устанавливается.
Так же бывает и такое, что у тебя стоит официальная версия ОС, а игрушку устанавливаешь неленцензионную. Или наобород — когда лицензия на игрушку есть, а ОС без нее. Это, обывательским языком, конфликт лицензий.

Под административными правами устанавливаешь?
Ты могла зайти в компьютер под аккаунтом обычного пользователя, а не администратора компьютера. Обычно таких «пользователей» ограничивают в правах админы компа. Это значит, что тебе закрыли доступ к установке различных файлов. Тогда попробуй сменить пользователя компа или попросить того, кто является админом, дать тебе возможность установить игрушку.

UK PC DVD Game arrived this morning, popped it into my 6 month old alienware laptop and I get the error message ‘No Language configured’.
No idea what this means or is causing it. Never seen anything like this before and I am a long time steam user.
Windows 7 64bit ultimate.
Help appreciated.

Does it give you a code you could possibly use on your steam account itself? That way you circumvent the need for the cd, cause you can just do the dowload option from steam. Does not fix the cd, but it would get you going.

Also I just did some reading on this and noticed that a lot of other games have this problem(not just stick of truth) a solution a lot of people found was using an external drive, or if using an external drive using usb instead of esata.

if that doesnt work, I have one more question, do you know what language your os is set to, it would be under control panel, region and language. Then will say format, also under location were is it listed?

You can copy contents of the disk onto a hdd/sdd and then If you have another steam game on a disk insert it and look at the content and copy a folder called resources into the folder with the game you want to install but cant then click on setup.exe and it might come up with some weird launcher screen but click install and it should install the game you want, i had to do that to get two different games to work and it did the job

Insert Disc: «No Language Configured» ??
As it says, I insert disc 1 and run setup, and I get the error «No Language Configured».
I waited 2 weeks longer for my physical copy of the game to arrive and this is what I get?
Is there a workaround for this issue yet?

Fixed: I had the thought that perhaps it was the Optical Drive itself. I swapped out my Bluray Writer for a DVD drive and it’s installing as we speak! Next time I need to install it I’ll make sure to set a language on the BD drive.
