Wondering what happened to the SMOK Nord 3? The answer is that it doesn’t exist. Since the SMOK Nord X was the third-generation Nord device, the designers at SMOK decided to skip the “Nord 3” moniker entirely.
What Pods and Coils Are Available for the SMOK Nord 4?
If you’re familiar with the SMOK Nord series, you know that the coils are interchangeable between the different devices. As long as you’re using the correct pod for the coil – and the coil’s resistance is within the device’s supported range – you can use any coil with any device. The SMOK Nord X and Nord 4 both support SMOK RPM and RPM2 coils, so there are no coils that you can use with the SMOK Nord 4 but can’t use with the SMOK Nord X.

How to Charge the SMOK Nord 4
You can charge the SMOK Nord 4 by connecting it to your computer using the included USB-C cable. When the device charges, the screen displays a percentage indicator. It also displays an estimate of how long it’ll take until the charging process is complete. When the device is fully charged, the screen will display “100%.”
How to Fill the SMOK Nord 4
To fill the SMOK Nord 4, start by pulling the pod out of the device. You’ll see a red silicone stopper on the side of the pod. Lift the stopper and add e-liquid to the pod until the reservoir is almost full. Replace the pod and return it to the device. Don’t begin vaping until you’ve given the coil a few minutes to absorb the e-liquid.
How to Vape with the SMOK Nord 4
After you disconnect the SMOK Nord 4 from the charging cable, you’ll probably find that the device is turned off. Press the fire button five times quickly until you see the SMOK logo. Give the device a moment to start up, and you’ll be ready to vape.
When the SMOK Nord 4 starts up, the screen displays the device’s current wattage. If it shows a number that’s higher than the recommended wattage range for the coil you’re using, press the “-“ adjustment button to lower the wattage. When you’re breaking in a new coil, it’s a good idea to start at the bottom of the coil’s recommended wattage range and increase the power slowly.
To vape with the SMOK Nord 4, simply hold the fire button while puffing. If you’re not happy with the airflow characteristics, turn the ring above the fire button until you achieve your ideal draw.
How to Replace the SMOK Nord 4 Coil
After several days of vaping, you’re going to find that the SMOK Nord 4 doesn’t produce the same flavor quality that it did when the coil was new. That means it’s time for a new coil. To replace the SMOK Nord 4 coil, start by removing the pod from the device. On the bottom of the pod, you’ll see the circular outline of the coil. Pull the coil out of the pod and push a new coil in. After filling the tank, don’t start vaping right away. The coil’s cotton wick needs to be completely saturated with e-liquid before you press the fire button.
NOTE: Some SMOK Nord 4 pods have a child-resistant mechanism that prevents easy removal of the coil. If your pod has that mechanism, you’ll need to move a small plastic tab on the bottom of the pod to release the coil. After installing a new coil, move the tab to its original position to lock the coil in place.

SMOK Nord 4 Not Charging
If your SMOK Nord 4 isn’t charging, the first thing that you should check is the USB cable. You probably have a spare USB-C cable – the cable that came with your phone, for instance – that you can try using. USB cables are very fragile, and they rarely last as long as the devices that come with them.
Don’t forget that, like all vaping devices, the SMOK Nord 4 is designed for charging through a computer. Don’t try charging the device with the wall adapter for a smartphone or tablet. If the Nord 4 doesn’t charge when you connect it to your computer – even after trying a different USB cable – you should try a different computer or USB port.
SMOK Nord 4 Not Hitting
If your SMOK Nord 4 isn’t hitting, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue.

SMOK Nord 4 Leaking
One of the great things about the SMOK Nord 4 is the fact that the coil’s triple-gasket system should make leaking almost impossible under normal usage conditions. If your device does happen to leak, though, the problem should be easily fixable with these steps.
- Don’t overfill the pod. If the pod is too full, you’ll push e-liquid out of the pod when you close the stopper.
- Always puff gently when you vape. If you use too much air pressure, you’ll flood the coil, and the e-liquid will spit from the top of the pod or leak out of the air vents.
- Remove the pod and check the coil. The pod will leak if the coil isn’t fully seated or has damaged gaskets.
SMOK Nord 4 Producing a Burned Taste
Vaping should always taste good – and if your SMOK Nord 4 produces a burned taste, it’s definitely a fixable problem. Here’s how to resolve it.
- Always wait several minutes before vaping when you install a new coil. If dry hits with the SMOK Nord 4 are a persistent problem for you, prime new coils before installing them by putting a little e-liquid on the wick openings.
- Lower your device’s wattage. If you’re too aggressive with the SMOK Nord 4’s wattage settings, you’ll end up burning the coil’s cotton wick.
- Replace the coil. If the coil’s wick is burned, the coil will always produce a bad flavor; there’s no way to resolve that issue. Also, it’s important to remember that every coil has a finite lifespan. A vape coil can last several days, but you may experience shorter coil life if you use heavily sweetened e-liquids because sucralose causes coil gunk.
SMOK Nord 4 Producing Weak Hits
A strong, satisfying hit is one thing that you should always be able to count on when you use the SMOK Nord 4. With 80 watts of power at your disposal, the Nord 4 produces enormous clouds compared to what you’d get with a first-generation pod system. If you experience weak hits with the Nord 4, these are the things that you should try.
- Increase the device’s wattage.
- Adjust the airflow. If you open the airflow, you’ll get bigger clouds; if you close the airflow, the vapor will become warmer and more intense.
- Try a different coil. If you switch to a coil with a lower resistance, you’ll get bigger clouds.
- Increase your nicotine strength. For most vapers, a nicotine strength of 3 mg/ml or 6 mg/ml will work well with the SMOK Nord 4.
SMOK Nord 4 Error Messages

- BATTERY LOW: The device’s battery is nearly dead. Charge it soon to prevent the device from shutting down.

- OHMS TOO LOW or OHMS TOO HIGH: The coil’s resistance isn’t within the SMOK Nord 4’s supported range. If you’re using a pre-built coil, the coil probably has a manufacturing fault. You should replace it. If you’re using the RBA deck, you’ve built a coil with an unsupported resistance.

Такой знак подает Pod-система в нескольких случаях.
Самый наглядный пример, когда достается картридж. После возврата его в свое специальное гнездо, цветовой сигнал оповестит о том, что устройство готово к работе
Так же, 4 моргания могут обозначать, что картридж неплотно соприкасается с контактами.
Нужно вытащить картридж, проверить контакты и при необходимости их прочистить, затем плотно вставить картридж в гнездо.
3 ситуацией, когда датчик может моргнуть 4 раза, это короткое замыкание. Данный вариант один из самых серьезных, т. к. замены платы в домашних условиях, не получится, у рядового пользователя, поэтому стоит заменить Pod-систему, либо обратиться в ремонт.
4 ситуацией с оповещением через датчик, станет неисправная плата.
Если обычное просушивание не помогает, можно разобрать устройство.
Краткая инструкция, как разобрать POD:
— Достаньте картридж;
— Снимите декоративную накладку с надписью SMOK.
Чтобы снять накладку, вам нужно будет ее поддеть тонким ножом или какой-либо пластинкой. Нужно быть аккуратным, т. к. девайс не рассчитан на открытие, все составляющие будут сцеплены в единую рабочую сеть и любое резкое движение в процессе снятия, чревато обрывов проводов.
— После снятие декоративной пластины, аккуратно отсоедините аккумулятор;
— Вставить в гнездо для картриджа ватку и выдавить основную плату;
— Проверьте плату на целостность, затем просушите ее.
Так же, можно протереть плату можно спиртом, т. к. он быстро испариться.
— После просушивания, верните плату на первоначальное место, затем присоедините аккумулятор и соберите устройство.
Картридж искажает вкус в сторону гари.
После появления постороннего привкуса гари, лучше всего заменить картридж на новый.
Pod-система не заряжается.
Во-первых, нужно проверить кабель на целостность. Если кабель целый, нужно разобрать Pod-систему, но с небольшими изменениями
— После того, как вы сняли декоративную накладку и отсоединили аккумулятор, проверьте целостность нижней платы с гнездом зарядки. Если же какие-либо провода отошли, то будет необходима пайка.
Картридж «плюется» жидкостью.
В большинстве случаев, данная проблема решается заменой картриджа и контролем объема заливаемой жидкости.
Основные проблемы данной POD-системы возникают из-за протечек, поэтому стоит контролировать заливаемый объект жидкости, тщательно проверять герметичность картриджа при закрытии и своевременно протирать картридж и его место посадки в само устройство.

Что делать если электронная сигарета перестала включаться?
Мигание три раза
Троекратное мигание обычно означает короткое замыкание. Снимите атомайзер, протрите резьбы сухой салфеткой, поставьте другой испаритель или бакдрипку. Если после обратной сборки электронка не включилась, переходите к следующему пункту.
Встроенный или съемный?
Источник питания вейпа может быть встроенным или заменяемым. Съемный аккумулятор- это батарейка, которая полностью вынимается из корпуса вейпа. Если батарея Вашей электронки не извлекается, переходите к пункту “Проверка встроенного аккумулятора”
Съемный аккумулятор
Скорее всего девайс не включается, потому что сел или вышел из строя аккумулятор. Многие электронки при этом выдают сигнал — 6 или 10 миганий индикатора. Еще такое может быть при повреждении изоляции аккумулятора. Не пытайтесь склеить изолирующий слой, сходите в вейп-шоп или закажите новую термоусадку для 18650.
Обертка в порядке? Откройте батарейный отсек и еще раз проверьте полярности: Плюс к значку “+” и минус к “-”. Все стоит верно? — попробуйте поставить на зарядку. Используйте для этого проверенное зарядное устройство. Если заряд не идет, а зарядник исправный — замените аккумулятор на запасной или новый.

Проверка встроенного аккумулятора

Зарядка не помогла – попробуйте присоединить другой клиромайзер и проверить работает ли аккумуляторный блок. Если выявили, что он не работает, электронку следует заменить новой или сдать в ремонт.
Другие причины поломки
Распространены поломки кнопки включения (fire) и ее залипание. Залипшую клавишу можно вернуть в рабочее положение самостоятельно, аккуратными нажатиями или вытягиванием. Не получилось? — отдайте гаджет в сервисный центр, особенно если он на гарантии производителя.
Самая тяжелая поломка — перегорание микросхемы вейпа. Такое не лечится в домашних условиях или сервисе. Сгоревший девайс можно только отправить на гарантию или заменить новым.

Каждый обладатель электронного бокс-мода с платой, рано или поздно, может получить на экране оповещение о проблеме. Таких оповещений бывает несколько, но одно из самых распространенных — «No atomizer found» или «Atomizer short». По сути оно говорит об отсутствии связи между атомайзером и бокс модом. Давайте посмотрим как можно выйти из этой ситуации.
Современные электронные сигареты — это уже не те простенькие устройства в виде обычной сигареты, которые, в начале нулевых, первыми явили миру мир электронного парения. После них появились маломощные «егошки» и понеслось. Рост популярности вейпинга в мире и технический прогресс сделали свое дело — современные девайсы для парения превратились в сложные электронные устройства с множеством настроек и функций.
Для начала стоит разобраться в терминологии и принципе работы любой электронной сигареты.
Из чего состоит электронная сигарета
Несмотря на разнообразие моделей девайсов, все они состоят из двух основных частей: батарейного блока и атомайзера. ББ — это отсек, в котором находится аккумулятор и система управления. Моды бывают электронные (с платой управления) и механические (мехмоды). Атомайзер — это верхняя часть сетапа, в которой находится испарительный элемент, резервуар для жидкости и дрип-тип. Атомайзеры могут быть обслуживаемые или необслуживаемые. У первых, испарительный элемент изготавливается самостоятельно, это скрученная определенным образом спираль (коил), а также фитиль, продетый через спираль и пропитываемый жидкостью из резервуара. Койлы и фитиль нужно подготавливать к использованию и устанавливать самостоятельно. В случае с необслуживаемыми атомайзерами все проще: принцип испарения тот же (спираль с ватой), но они находятся в маленьком металлическом корпусе, который просто нужно вкрутить в предназначенное для этого место.
Как работает электронная сигарета
Принцип работы электронной сигареты прост — на атомайзер из батарейного блока, поступает электрический ток. Пропитанный жидкостью фитиль находится в непосредственном контакте с горячей спиралью и жидкость испаряется, превращаясь в пар, который вдыхает вейпер. Грубо говоря, проблема «No atomizer found» связана с тем, что плата в батарейном блоке не может обнаружить атомайзер и измерить его сопротивление. Собственно, такая же надпись встретит вас если нажать кнопку на ББ при открученном атомайзере.
Почему это происходит?
Есть четыре основных причины, по которым вы можете столкнуться с данной проблемой.
Первая — жидкость на коннекторе. Чаще всего это происходит с обслуживаемыми атомайзерами. Во всем виноваты нижний обдув и неправильно уложенная вата в баке. В баках с нижним обдувом образование конденсата при интенсивном парении это нормальное явление, не нормально если жидкость натурально течёт из этих отверстий. Как итог — жидкость для вейпа может попасть в коннектор, что может стать причиной плохого контакта.
Вторая — провалившийся пин коннектора. Если часто использовать мод с разными атомайзерами, пин коннектора может провалиться внутрь и не примыкать к атомайзеру достаточно плотно. Результат тот же — незамкнутая электрическая цепь и отсутствие тока на атомайзере;
Третья — невнимательность парильщика. Как бы странно это не звучало, но люди иногда забывают делать простые вещи. Если вы поторопились и не вкрутили сменный испаритель или не установили коилы на стойки ни о каком испарении жидкости и речи быть не может — электрическая цепь не замыкается и контакт попросту отсутствует;
Четвертая — плохая установка испарителя или спирали. Плохая установка испарительного элемента тоже часто бывает причиной проблемы. Если вы не до конца закрутили сменный испаритель или плохо зафиксировали койлы на стойках, электрическая цепь тоже будет разорвана и ни о каком паре речи и быть не может.
Как решить проблему
С первой причиной разобраться просто — открутите атомайзер и протрите сухой тряпочкой все места контакта, а также уберите всю пыль или мусор, который мог туда попасть.
Вторая причина проблемы решается при помощи пинцета, иглы или маленькой плоской отвертки. Поднимите коннектор выше, так чтобы он соприкасался с атомайзером и замыкал цепь. В некоторых случаях может потребоваться разборка мода.
О третьей и четвертой причине много говорить не нужно. Установите коилы или испаритель и будет вам счастье. Также проверьте чтобы испаритель или коилы не болтались на своем месте. Потрогайте стойки, они тоже могут расшатываться со временем. Иногда на внешней стороне атомайзера есть винт для затягивания стойки, проверьте чтобы и он тоже не болтался.
Если эти способы не помогли, обратитесь в сервисный центр или более или менее серьезный вейп-шоп. Вам либо помогут, либо подберут новый девайс.
Итог
Опытные парильщики всегда стараются ухаживать за своими девайсами, не давать им намокать или падать. Эти простые правила помогают избежать большинства проблем и в частности надписи «No atomizer found». This happens every time a pod is killed. Can’t get the pod to terminate unless using —force=true —grace-period=0. It happens even if you take the vanilla RedHat Image.
