Product: HP 1212nf MFP
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra
My MFP sometimes scans documents in mirror image on the first pass. it usually corrects itself on the second pass. I am running High Sierra and I don’t see a new driver for this OS.

Good Day. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding issues with scanning as the first page gets mirrored. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description and spectacular troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a recent software or Mac update?
- Did you make copies directly from the printer and check if it copies correctly?
For now, please try these steps:
- Please perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://hp.care/2KOY22d by following steps from the section “Step 1: Reset the printer and check the power source”
- Then from this link: https://hp.care/2KTDMwj (macOS Sierra: Add or remove a printer) remove and re-add the printer.
- Now check for issue resolution. If the issue continues, update the printer software by using the Apple Software update by following instructions from this link: https://hp.care/2wU8ONm (HP Printers — Installing a Mac Print Driver Using Apple Software Update)
- Make sure to use the correct version of the OS.
- Also, ensure that the Mac OS is updated completely with its latest updates.
This should do the trick for you.
Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response.

Вопрос:
После переустановки диска и ОС Windows Xp сканер стал работать «криво», а именно: при сканировании через MS WORD:
— в режиме «Просмотр» изображение нормальное,
— в режиме «Сканирование» изображение на выходе зеркальное, и меняется местами верх-низ.
Какие нужны настройки для устранения зеркальности??? Заранее Спасибо.

Ответ:
Самое простое: еще раз «зеркально отразить» изображение в Word. Или использовать для сканирования программное обеспечение сканера, сохранять изоражение в файл и только потом вставлять его в Word.
Если есть стойкое желание пользоваться именно вставкой со сканера из интерфейса Word, надо разбираться подробнее. В первую очередь обновить драйвер и программное обеспечение сканера до последней версии, доступной от производителя. Проверить, воспроизводится ли проблема с другим сканером в этой же системе.

Отсканировал книжку 500 с лишним страниц!
Смотрю результат а она в «зеркальном отражении» получился. 
Битый час мучаюсь не могу сделать ее читабельной.
Сканер HP 8250.
Сканировал с помощь Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional.
Кто знает прошу помочь завтра она далжна быть готовой

Да там каждую страница открывать надо, а у него 500 с лишним страниц!
Надо в акробате послать на печать в файл (не знаю как правильно сказать) и там где у в установках есть «печать в зеркалке» типа. Воть…

Пасиба, уважаемые.
Я тоже сперва думал ФотоШопом, но когда закончил 10-ю страницуи вспомнил про оставшиеся 494…. 
Я отсканировал заново и воспользовался другой прогой. И все номано.
Перенапряг пришлось заливать очень большим количеством сами понимаете чего.
А так было бы неплохо найти такую прогу которая бы делала такие или другие манипуляции. Так на всякий пожарный.

Надо было Photoshopом, там есть функция пакетной обработки файлов, т.е. создаешь скрипт Actions. Указываешь папку откуда брать файлы и т.д. Photoshop сам будет открывать файлы применять Actions и закрывать при этом сохраняя.
Ps. когда перые сканы сделал нужно было посмотреть что получается!

модель сканера WIA CanoScan 4400F
прога CanoScan Toolbox 5.0
Нужно сканировать много листов и записать это в виде PDF документа.
иногда один лист из документа записывается вверх ногами притом если его положить вверх ногами то сохранится нормально
непонятно почему именно этот лист сканер переворачивает и неполучается заранее предугадать какой лист в новом документе он перевернёт, приходится 2 раза сканировать одно и тоже.
(в режиме сохранения много листов в PDF сканер непоказывает что он там насканировал (((((
Как отключить это автоопределение ориентации листа?
в настройках проги ничего ненашол.

■ Отдельно отправляйте изображение получателям в режиме сканирования и
получателям в режиме интернет-факса.
Если коллективная передача выполняется как адресатам в режимах «Эл.
Почта», «FTP/ Рабочий Стол» и «Сетевая Папка», так и адресатам
Интернет-факса, будет использоваться ориентация оригинала в режиме
Интернет-факса, поэтому файл может отображаться на ПК с неверной
ориентацией.
При выборе формата JPEG создан файл в
формате TIFF

значение [Mono2]?
■ Установите для цветового режима значение [Полный Цвет] или
[Полутоновый], затем коснитесь кнопки [Старт].
Если выбран тип файла [JPEG] и изображение сканируется в режиме
Mono2, будет создан файл TIFF.

Возможное решение
При сканировании черное-белого
оригинала был выбран цветовой
режим [Полутоновый]?
■ Режим [Полутоновый] подходит для получения высококачественного
изображения текста или фотографии, но размер файла при этом будет
больше. В режиме [Mono2] для оригиналов, содержащих только текст,
размер файла будет значительно меньше. Это настраивается в обычном
режиме.
Установлено слишком высокое
разрешение?
■ Чем выше разрешение, тем больше размер файла.
Снижение разрешения приводит к получению более грубых изображений,
однако позволяет уменьшить размер файла.
Установлено слишком низкое
сжатие?
■ Если выбрана слишком низкая степень сжатия и цветовой режим
[Полный Цвет] или [Полутоновый], размер файла будет большим.
Если для параметра [Формат Файла] → [Степень сжатия] установить более
высокое значение, на изображении может появляться шум, а цвета могут
выглядеть блеклыми, однако размер файла станет меньше.
Это настраивается в обычном режиме.
